Magentar Space is a dedicated semi professional group of engineers and rocket enthusiasts located across the United States. The group's goal is to build, test, and fly the first amateur turbo-pump driven rocket engine. Our team is made up of a multi-discipline group that brings aspects of industrial rocketry, aerospace manufacturing, and computer science together.
We had our first static fire campaign with the TARS-1.1 engine in March 2023. The group developed in their personal time fully functional engine test stand. This included the hand woven carbon fiber ablative engine, custom welded test stand, and mobile industrial control system.
We have also successfully raised $10K in funding to start work on our project. The we are grateful for external funding to help offset the cost of this expensive hobby!
Team Role:
Control Systems Hardware Lead & Manufacturing Support
